The quality of video evidence, especially CCTV recorded on older DVR systems, often limits the visibility of its contents. Issues such as resolution, compression, distance of the subject/object from the camera, lens distortion, poor lighting or contrast of detail all contribute to render the identification of a subject/object problematic.

Using specialist forensic imagery & video enhancement equipment (such as Amped FIVE) we can make efforts to clarify the contents of an image, such as render the characters of an index plate more readable, or increasing the contrast and brightness of a suspect's face to reveal more detail.

Forensic regulations dictate that every alteration from the original image is fully recorded, auditable and reproduceable, which is why every enhancement we perform also comes with a full technical report containing details of all the filters and settings utilised.
